Ah yes, the traditional About page. Easy enough, I tell myself, let’s just DEFINE ALL THE THINGS.

To a large degree, this blog will be focused on my view within the world of computer gaming. Whilst there shall be more than a few reviews, I shall also be attempting the odd ‘larger’ look at gaming as a concept. There is also the rather distinct possibility I’ll be designing and coding a few of my own creations, and they’ll get plastered on up here as well.

Recently, I’ve discovered the interesting joys of creating ‘Let’s Play’ videos .. the simple act of playing a game whilst narrating, and recording the session using various screen capture and editing applications. As I make these, I’ll be placing them up here as well .. although you could always just link into my YouTube account for updates there.

On other fronts, I’ve been known to have a bit of a passion to create web applications, design themes, and do generally all sorts of ‘web’ stuff. Over time, this seems to have pushed me into systems administration as a career, so the odds are quite high there shall be the occasional explosion of information there as well.

Plus, of course, random stuff.

The best way to figure it all out, is that this site is an expression of self. So just roll with it, enjoy if you can, learn if you wish, and move on if you don’t.

Oh, and as for the name, Wyld is my online nickname. It has been for quite some time now, and I don’t dare change it else friends will get terribly confused (this has been proven a number of times). On the odd occasion, it’s also expressed as Wyldstein – as the name Wyld is either too short (bloody five character minimum on usernames) or someone has beaten me to it.
